But news coming in from Istanbul has it that there were still reports of explosion and gunfire. It was reported that 42 people including policemen were killed in Ankara. While in Istanbul, powerful images of soldiers who were surrendering on a bridge dominated the newscast and airwaves. At the moment, it is not clear who is really in control of Istanbul and Ankara.
