Northern governors vindicate Fulani- Killings by herdsmen

The 19 Northern governors have said that it is unwise to label those herdsmen perpetrating the murderous act in  the country as Fulani. According to The Nation, this information was gathered during the governors meeting in Kaduna yesterday. Alhaji Kashim Shettima, the Borno State governor and the  chairman of the Northern State Governors Forum (NSGF), made this known during their meeting in Kaduna. He condemned the recent killings in Enugu State and that of Agatu community in Benue State by the herdsmen, but at the same pointed out  that criminals should not be termed Fulani. According to him, it is an insult that once there is an attack or killing by the herdsmen, the media would sensationalize it and brand the herdsmen to be Fulanis. Governor Shettima further said that kidnapping started in the South East but the Igbos were not never called  kidnappers. He called on Nigerians to forget their differences and come together as one in order to solve our common challenges.
