EFCC discovers 37,395 ghost workers in Federal Civil Service

On Tuesday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed that the Federal Government has discovered a total of 37,395 ghost workers on the Federal Civil Service payroll. According to Premium Times, the EFCC's acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, made this revelation during an anti-corruption sensitization programme organized by the commission for the staff of works and housing. Mr Magu further stated that the Federal Government has lost about N1 billion to the ghost workers and it is giving the Federal Government a serious concern and its investigation is still on going.
