Deputy Gov, Edwin Clark mourn Tompolo's father death

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Kingsley Otuaro, Chief Edwin Clark and the Niger Delta leaders have on Thursday, condoled with the people of Gbaramutu kingdom over the passing away of Chief Thomas Ekpemupolo, the father of ex-militant leader Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo. According to PUNCH news, Tompolo's father died on Wednesday at a private hospital in Warri Delta State. He died as a result of the injury sustained during the military invasion of his place on 26th May, 2016 in Kutie, Warri South-West local government area of the state. Chief Edwin Clark described the late Ekpemupolo as a peaceful man. Chief Clark urged the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom to remain calm and be peaceful following the incidence. He also described Tompolo's father death as the people's sacrifice for peace to reign in the Niger Delta. The Deputy Governor Otuaro, described his death as a great loss to the Ijaw nation. He also condoled with HRM Oboro-Gbaraun II of Gbaramatu Kingdom and Ekpemupolo's family and praying for them to be comforted in the Lord.
