Shell laments sharp decline in oil production

Mr Osagie Okunbor, Shell's Nigerian country chair has complained how the incessant attack on the oil sites by the militant in the Niger Delta has contributed in lowering oil production. Mr Okunbor said that the attacks in the region has had a negative impact on production, loss of revenue to the government, and delays in project. According to TheNation, Mr Okunbor lamented that the incessant militant attack would have a severe environmental consequences, and also increase the cost of running businesses in the region.
