Resident doctors suspend planned nationwide strike
The National Association of Resident Doctors of Nigeria has suspended its planned nation wide strike by 2 weeks. The planned strike which was supposed to have started on 25th of April will begin in 9th may. On Sunday, the association president, Dr. Muhammad Askira revealed this in Kano. According to Punch news, Dr Askira said the resolution was reached after the association's National Executive Council had a meeting in Sokoto on April 26. More so, the timely intervention of President Muhammad Buhari during the NMA National leadership meeting made the association to have a change of mind and suspend the planned strike.
