IGP condemns the killing of policemen and orders that the Biafran activists should be disarmed

The Inspector- General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase has condemned the killing of policemen by the members of the Indigeonus People of Biafra and commanded the senior officers in the South East and South South to disarm the activists. According to Punch news, the IGP revealed this in a statement through the Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole after some members of the pro-Biafran group killed some policemen on Monday. Mr Arase also condemned the killing of the policemen by the IPOB members and further ordered the arrest of any of the members seen with arms. He further said that those caught in connection with the killing of the policemen should be tried for murder case. He later assured Nigerians of the police readiness to maintain law and order and safety in the society.
