Former Finance Minister Nenadi Usman returns part of N2.5 b cash

The Former Finance Minister and the Director of Finance for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organization, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, has returned part of the money that was transferred to her by the office of the National Security Adviser. Senator Usman made the refund after being detained by the EFCC for about four days. Sunday Vanguard  reported that a reliable source from the EFCC disclosed that Senator Usman actually received the sum of N2.5 billion from the N4 billion that was released by CBN on the orders of  Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd) for 2015 elections. According to Sunday Vanguard, a reliable source of the commission last night confirmed that Senator Usman had been cooperating with the security operatives interrogating her on the issue, and had also returned an undisclosed substantial amount of money. According to the source in the commission, Senator Usman could be granted administrative bail once she returns the money traced to her account
