The Pope Francis Instagram handle "franciscus" hit 1 million followers after it was launched on Saturday with a photo of the Pope kneeling in prayer with the caption "pray for me" in 9 languages. The Pope's account broke a record for getting 1 million followers within 12 hours of its launching, the previous record was held by David Beckham who hit 1 million followers after 24 hours of launching his account.
