Gunmen shoot policeman and a civilian in Rivers

Some suspected armed robbers had on Thursday killed a police sergeant known as Sunday Adoga at the Waterlines area in Port Harcourt and a civilian in another part of the city. The hoodlums who believed to have been following a bullion van with a huge some of money opened fire at the police sergeant who was not part of the bullion van escort. Upon sighting the sergeant at the bank entrance shot and killed him before running away. Their shootings attracted the timely intervention of the security personnel at the Independent National Electoral Commission, who thwarted their plans of robbing the bullion van.
