Governors now live like Kings- Obasanjo

The former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Monday has accused some state governors of living a flamboyant life style while they want their citizens to sacrifice in order to survive the economic hard times the country is currently facing.  Obasanjo stated this in his chairmanship opening remark during an inaugural conference of the Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Ibadan. He frowned at the attitude of some governors who divert state and council funds and not using it for developmental growth of their states. He called on the governors who want sacrifices from their citizens to equally sacrifice also and stop living in affluence. He further said that corruption needs to be dealt with if Nigeria wanted to move forward like other countries of the world. Furthermore, during the conference, he made it clear that his sole aim of setting up EFCC and ICPC was to fight and curb corruption which has eaten so deep into our leaders.
