Iran to purchase 500 planes

Iranian government is planning on purchasing 500 planes for its aviation industry after the lifting of the sanctions placed on them due to their involvement in nuclear activities. The decision to purchase the new planes came as a result of their aircraft being outdated and unsafe to fly with due to the restrictions placed on them since 1979 for nuclear activities. The Iranian transport minister, Abbas Akhondi told CNN that they are negotiating with Boeing (BA) and Airbus(EADSF). He said that they need about 100 short range fleet for local flights and 400 fleet for international routes. They are also want to resume direct flight to New York as well.
