Dickson penalizes workers for supporting the ruling party
The governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson has marked about 500 workers for being pro-APC before and during the governorship election of the state. The affected workers may not receive their December and January salaries as a result of their romance with the ruling party before and during the governorship election in the state. Dickson set up a committee to verify the actions of civil servants during the election, and their report showed that some workers were pro-APC during the January 9th 2016 concluded election that saw him emerged as the winner on the PDP platform. This verification exercise was made in the Ministries, Departments, Agencies and some civil servants within level 8 to 17 were affected. The Secretary to the State Government gave the directive to Head of Service, and to the Due Process Bureau, headed by Dickson Special Adviser on Treasury Matters ,Timi Seipulo for implementation. The affected persons names had been forwarded to the Due Process Bureau for the necessary actions to be meted out on them.The worst hit workers were those of state broadcasting corporation and sports council that found out that their names had been removed from the automated payroll system,
