IPOB leader Kanu to remain in prison



Namdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the two other persons are to remain in prison, this was an order from Justice James Tsoho of the Federal High Court Abuja on Wednesday. Namdi Kanu, Benjamin Mmadubugwu and David Nwawuisi were arraigned on the charges of treason and agitation for the Republic of Biafra. The three persons pleaded not guilty to the six counts charge leveled against them. Kanu was arrested in a hotel at Lagos on the 15th October 2015 because of his agitation for Biafra secession from Nigeria and since then has been in the custody of the Directorate of State Service.
