NLC to resume negotion talk with FG as it suspends the nationwide strike over petroleum price increase

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, on Sunday in Abuja, May 22,2016 suspended the nationwide strike over  increase in electricity tariff and petroleum price increase. According to NAN, the immediate suspension of the strike was reached during an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council of the congress. The president of NLC, Mr Ayuba Wabba , and its Secretary General, Peter Ozo-Eson, who signed the communique, said the suspension was with immediate effect. The congress commended the timely intervention of the NASS leadership and Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu. And further stated that they would resume negotiation talk with the Federal Government on these 2 issues of increase in electricity tariff and petroleum price increase, which are currently affecting the poor masses and the weak in the country.
