Daniel Craig tells movie bosses: I'm done as Bond

Action hero: Daniel Craig has reportedly told studio bosses he is 'done' playing 007 and turned down a £68million offer from MGM studio to return as Bond for two more films

Daniel Craig told MGM studio bosses that he is done with playing the role of James Bond in 007 and turned down a 68million pounds offer to come back as Bond for two more films following last year's hit Spectre. Mr Craig is the highest paid actor to play Bond role with a net worth of 38 million pounds for the four films he appeared in. Dailymail reported that Craig started playing Bond since 2005 and helped saved over 2billion pounds in box office revenue, which helped to ease MGM bankruptcy issues. The 68 million pounds offer Craig turned down included endorsements, profit shares and him working as a co-producer. An LA film source said the executives agreed letting Craig go after becoming tired of his criticism of the franchise. Report has it that Craig reasons for turning down the 68 million pounds offer could be because of the knee injury he sustained filming the Spectre fight scene. as this could be decipher from an interview he granted last year and said that he would rather 'slash my wrists' than agree to another Bond film.
