FG- 2016 budget not returned to N/Assembly for fresh work and no agreement on signing yet

The Federal Government has made it clear yesterday that no specific date was mapped out for the signing of the 206 budget, saying that it has not reached an agreement with the National Assembly on grey areas in the document. This issue of having no specific date for signing of the 2016 budget into law has dashed hopes of many who were waiting for its signing. Vanguard news gathered that during briefing with the State House Correspondent at the end of the meeting , the minister of Budget and National Planning, Mr Udo Udoma, said that the federal Government has already set up a monitoring and Evaluation committee that would control and make sure that the budget was duly implemented once the fiscal document is eventually signed. Mr Udoma denied that the budget was returned to National Assembly for a fresh work to be done on it. Meanwhile, the Federal Government has set a time for the 2017 budget submission so that the document  would be delivered on time, without delay.
