Congolese music star, Papa Wemba, passes on after stage collapse

A 66 year old Congolese popular musician, Shungu Wembadio Pene Kikumba, known as Papa Wemba passed on after collapsing during a concert. Papa Wemba collapsed while performing on the stage in Ivory Coast unknowingly to his dancers. He was known as the King of rumba in Congolese and also known for his fashion sense, which he said was inspired by his parents who loved dressing very well. Reports from BBC has it that the musician fell ill in the early hours of Saturday morning but passed on before getting to the hospital. The cause of his death is not yet known. Reports has it that he appeared in two films, Life is Beautiful (1987) and Wild Games (1997).  President Joseph Kabila of Congo has expressed his condolences.
