China proposes $6bn infrastructure loan to Nigeria.
The Minister of External Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, stated that China has offered Nigeria $6bn loan for funding of infrastructural projects . According to Punch news, the minister said that access to the loan would not be a difficult task once there are projects to fund the loan with. He further stated that there is no need for an agreement before it would be signed. On the same note, the President's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, said that Chinese President Xi JinPing has offered $15m as agricultural loan for setting up of 50 farms across the country, the said offer came as a reply to President Buhari's promise of making sure that Nigeria's diversification into agriculture is a success.
