A Bangladeshi University professor cut to death in Rajshahi

AFM Rezaul Karim Siddique, a 58 year old professor of English at Rajshahi University in Bangladeshi was hacked to death by suspected Islamist extremist. Professor Siddique was crushed to death with a machetes on his way to work. According to BBC's Dhaka correspondent, Akbar Hossain, said that the so called Islamist militant claimed to have killed him because he was "calling to atheism". But Siddique's colleaques said he had not written anything about culture and was never an atheist. Meanwhile, police believed that Professor Siddique must have been targeted by suspected Islamist militant because he was actively involved in cultural activities.
