After passage, National Assembly continues work on budget

One week after the passage of  the 2016 budget, the National Assembly is still working on the budget. It hurriedly passed the highlights of  the 2016 budget on 23rd March without details of the budget. According to Punch, the National Assembly passed the highlights of the budget such that people would be calmed and not fidgeting. Also report has it that members of Senate Committee on Appropriation gathered on Wednesday in the office of their chairman, Senator Danjuma Goje to continue work on the 2016 budget. An anonymous member of the Senate Committee on Appropriation  told Punch correspondent that the senate decided to pass the highlights of the 2016 appropriation bill when it noticed errors and repetition on it.
