One Ladipo trader dies during a clash with soldiers

A yet to be identified Ladipo trader was killed on Thursday during a protest by the Ladipo's traders. The traders were protesting Monday Ijoba's constant extortion of money from them and complained that the extortion is becoming unbearable for them. Ijoba is a man that collects money from the traders for the local government authority. Last week, a trader who was attacked by Ijoba's boys for not paying the money to them later died in the hospital. It was the traders death that caused the protest which started around 9 am on Thursday when the traders were seen with placards reading "Monday, enough is enough". The yet to be identified trader died when a stray bullet hit him during their fracas with soldiers. The traders are complaining bitterly about the extortion and are calling on the Lagos State government to come to their rescue.
