An Indian kills 14 members of his family

Hasnin Warekar, a 35 year old Indian man has murdered 14 members of his own family in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to The Press Trust of India news agency, the youngest of the suspect's victim was his three month old daughter and the oldest his 55 year old father. Mr Warekar, who was believed to have worked as an accountant in Mumbai, used a big knife to cut his parents, sisters and his sisters' six children throats, and reports also suggest that he must have drugged their food with some sedatives on Saturday when the family gathered in the evening for dinner in Thane. One of the suspect's sister who survived the attack is still in deep shock at the City Hospital and authorities are yet to ask her questions to know what must have prompted her brother in carrying out such an act.
