Ahmed Sani Yerima, the former governor of Zamfara State and presently a member of the All Progressives Congress representing the same state in the senate, would be arraigned today by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Commission(ICPC) for allegedly scamming the Federal Government and former President Olusegun Obasanjo , promising to supply 50,000 tones of grains but never delivered the grains after being paid.The ICPC is also accusing the former governor of amputating a thief's wrist for stealing a goat, of diverting of over N1billion meant for the repair of a collapsed Dam in Gusau and compensation of the people to be affected by the project. He is being charged against 19 count charge which would be executed today in the High court of Zamfara state.
