Both the hard and soft copies of the 2016 Appropriation bill presented to the National Assembly last December was found to be missing. This was made known yesterday when the National assembly resumed from Christmas break, and the Senate was to commence a formal deliberation on the budget. The disappearance of the budget thwarted its deliberation yesterday. But, House of Representatives maintained that both copies of the budget are with them and would start its distribution today. This ugly incidence brought confusion into the Senate yesterday, and has made the PDP senators to accuse the Presidency officials of conniving with the National Assembly bureaucracy in withdrawing the budget in order to amend the outrageous items in it. So far, the Presidency has denied withdrawing the budget.
