It is obvious that the scarcity of foreign exchange is affecting Nigerian students in diaspora as many of them are now seeking for transfer to the Nigerian universities in order to complete their education. According to Saturday Punch, the students were forced into taking this decision as their parents could no longer afford to send them money because of the huge exchange rate. Babatunde Agboola, an Ogun State indigene studying in the United States told Punch correspondent and i quote "The message we keep on receiving from home everyday is that dollar is scarce and this is affecting our education". Some of the students are now doing menial jobs for survival.
