Forex scarcity may increase unemployment rate

The erstwhile Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of  Ife, Rt. Rev. Oluranti Odubogun has called on the Federal Government to find a lasting solution to the foreign exchange scarcity in the country. He stated this in Lagos during a state of the nation conference. According to Rev. Odubogun, scarcity of forex in the country would lead to several organisations laying off  their workers, thereby increasing unemployment rate in the country. He further called on the Federal Government to make sure that forex is being provided for those that need it for economic development and not the other way round. He said that Federal Government should harness other sources that could earn foreign exchange for the country.
