Total Carries out free surgeries

Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited medical team has carried out successful surgeries on 17 people, while 26 people await their own turn for the company's free medical care programme to its host community of Okoroete in Eastern Obolo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. According to the company's Deputy Managing Director, Port Harcourt Disrict, Mr. Nicolas Brunett, 510 patients were given treatment in the first 2 days of the programme and that a minimum of 2,500 people would receive treatment at the end of the five day programme. This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday by Deputy General Manager, Community Affairs, Mr. Izu Iduoka, who represented mr Brunett. He emphasised on the company's core values which one of it is to ensure sustainable health for its staff and their families. The host community's representative, Chris Brandy was happy about their kind gestures and said that the community would continue to stand by the company and also would keep providing conducive environment for its operations.
