The King of Pop, late Michael Jackson once told Oprah he would not approve a white actor to play him

Oprah Winfrey has revealed an interview she had with late Michael Jackson in 1993 about his opinion on a white actor playing him. This revelation came when it was disclosed that a white actor Joseph Fiennes, who featured in Shakespeare in love would play MJ in a TV comedy about a road trip the singer took with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando after the September 11 2001 terrorist attack. The interview was done due to the rumor making round that MJ wanted a white boy to play him in a Pepsi commercial of early '90s. MJ replied Winfery and i quote
"That is so stupid. That's the most ridiculous, horrifying story I've ever heard. It's crazy." He further stated that " It's my face as a child in the commercial. "Me when I was little. Why would I want a white child to play me? I'm a black American. I'm proud to be a black American. I am proud of my race. I am proud of who I am. That's like you (Oprah) wanting an oriental person to play you as a child. Does that make sense?  Please people stop believing these horrifying stories."
