A Japanese electronics company, Panasonic, has partnered with SIMS Nigeria Limited to set up an assembly plant in Lagos. This was made known by its Managing Director for Middle East and Africa, Mr. Shinichi Wakita. According to him, they would be manufacturing air -conditioners and televisions in Lagos. He further stated that, this would be an avenue for them to contribute to the society's economy thereby creating job opportunities.
