No sureties for Olisa Metuh
The Peoples Democratic Party's national leadership has made its stand known about getting or providing sureties for its National Publicty Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh. The Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo declared that the party would not provide sureties or assist Metuh in getting one. Jalo declared this on Friday in Abuja to the punch correspondent. According to him, Metuh is being prosecuted by the EFCC, for an alleged money he collected from the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki(rtd) which was not used by the party but by himself, Jalo further stated that Metuh should sought himself out concerning the sureties and should not expect the party to come to his assistance. Meanwhile, the party's National Legal Adviser, Mr Victor kwon, said that associates and friends of Metuh were doing everything possible to get sureties for his bail.
