The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency( NIMASA), remitted revenues generated for the government in naira instead of dollars in which the revenue was collected this was made known by the finance minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun.
she stated that the generated revenue collected in dollars is supposed to be paid into Central Bank of Nigeria's account and that the conversion of the currency lies on the CBN but not the agency.
Meanwhile, right now the immediate past Director General of NIMASA, Patrick Akpobolkemi is facing 40 counts charge of fraud and money laundering.
